Ecole Le Soleil Levant near Charleroi is a special school for girls aged 13 to 21 with mild or moderate to severe learning difficulties and/or behavioural or personality disorders. Most of the pupils come from very disadvantaged backgrounds.
The school aims to run cultural education projects, but the grants and fees it receives are not enough to fund them.
Role of the ENGIE Foundation
The ENGIE Foundation has been supporting the school since 2016, allowing it to pay for cultural education programmes.
