Surfrider Foundation Europe is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to defending, saving, promoting and managing in a sustainable manner the ocean, the coastline, waves and the people who enjoy them. To this end, it has set up a project called Ocean Initiatives which aims to raise public awareness about the issue of marine litter and its impact on biodiversity.
The project includes coordinating a network of litter collections organised by volunteers throughout the year.
Role of the ENGIE Foundation
The Foundation will support this project, engaging its own networks (of employees and partner organisations) in order to educate them about these environmental issues and get them involved in litter collections.
