The project

For the past 20 years, the Gol de Letra Foundation has aimed to promote education for young Brazilians from vulnerable communities. In the Caju district of Rio de Janeiro, the Foundation is working to provide a future for young people, focusing on social inclusion through sport, culture or vocational training. Its new vocational training and education project, called "Juventude E Oportunidade" (Youth and Opportunity) includes two routes: 1. A three-month electrician refresher course for young people wishing to become electrical installers 2. Six-month preparatory training for the university entrance exam (only 5% of young people from these neighbourhoods go to university).

The role of the ENGIE Foundation

The ENGIE Foundation has been a partner since 2013 and is funding this inclusion project through the vocational training launched in 2018.
