The project

Set up 20 years ago, Pinocchio is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the interests and well-being of children and teenagers who have suffered burns. It helps young people right across Belgium, no matter where they receive treatment. Its provides support in three areas:

  • Financial support for children and teenagers (medical expenses, transport and accommodation for parents during their child’s hospital stay)
  • Activities and entertainment to make their time in hospital more enjoyable (visits by a clown, purchase of toys, computers, books, etc.)
  • Organisation of spa camps and ‘reunion’ weekends with parents.

Role of the ENGIE Foundation
