Service d’Accrochage Scolaire de Mons (Mons School Dropout Service or SAS) offers social, educational and learning assistance to schoolkids aged 12 to 18 in the judicial district of Mons. The aim is to reconcile them to school and prevent them from dropping out.
The youngsters mostly come from disadvantaged or highly disadvantaged families (financially, socially and culturally) and all have chaotic lives (victims of bullying, school phobia).
The SAS offers them a personalised programme of support and adapted school workshops. Countryside activities are also available.
Role of the ENGIE Foundation
The Foundation decided to support the SAS in 2017 for an initial period of one year.
