When he set up BX Brussels, Belgium and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany created much more than just a football club. Aside from sport, the aim of the club is to develop future opportunities for disadvantaged young people living in Brussels' 19 communes.
BX Brussels provides as much coaching and support as possible so the youngsters learn not only to play football but also to better integrate socially.
Role of the ENGIE Foundation
The Foundation has been a partner since 2014.
In September 2017, the ENGIE Foundation supported a social media campaign to promote the work of BX Brussels. In 2016, it organised a get-together in Paris at which BX Brussels' players met players from the
Diomède Academy.
