The project

Sports and circus activities are the focus of the programme developed by Cameleon to help children, particularly young women, to rebuild their lives in the Philippines. The programme's activities help to develop the children's physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Sport has a positive impact on recovery and on psychological and emotional health, as it provides a healthy outlet for stress and aggression, and can help to relieve depression and anxiety. In addition to its local programme, the association reaches out to disadvantaged children in marginalised communities through its travelling circus "Cirque Social", giving children access to circus training and sports activities provided by the association in 2019.

Role of the ENGIE Foundation

The Foundation has committed to supporting this project over two years, reaching 110 young female survivors of sexual violence, 310 children in neighbouring villages and over 500 young people benefiting indirectly.
