The project

ABC Cinema is a film production and training workshop for young actors, technicians and directors. Located near Liège, the workshop offers a very practical learning experience, enabling the students to learn their craft by actually making films. ABC also runs educational projects with primary and/or secondary schools and organisations working with disadvantaged young people. The approach is always very hands-on, the idea being to get young people to make films about social, societal or environmental issues. The 'Ener-Jeunes' project fits with this objective as it involves working with young people to produce a documentary on sustainable development, aimed at a young audience.

Role of the ENGIE Foundation

The Foundation is providing financial support to the project. In addition, ENGIE employees are involved in writing the screenplay prior to filming... so that the film will feature Energy Assistance projects and projects supported by the Foundation in Benin (see the Cotonou residential centre project). The film will then be used as a communication tool for the ENGIE Foundation.
