The project
ENGIE employee volunteers are motivated by the desire to put their knowledge to work for populations affected by disasters or lacking access to energy. First, the in-house NGO Energy Assistance focuses its action on those “forgotten by the grids” and in isolated habitats. Secondly, it works in collaboration with local companies and training centers, which provide quality equipment, project monitoring and installation maintenance. In this context, most projects also include a training component for local technicians. On some projects, Energy Assistance does not work alone, but in coalition with other NGOs such as ACTED and Reach out in Morocco.
IMPACT: since 2001, EAx has been involved in 528 projects, benefiting 5,816,000 people in 50 countries.
