The project

Sésame seeks to open the museums' doors to the poorest in society, including refugees who can't read or write and don't speak French. The learners follow a year-long course including museum visits, writing workshops and poetry writing. At the end of the course, they put on a show of poetry readings and music as part of the Midis de la Poésie, an annual season of poetry events organised by the City of Brussels.

Role of the ENGIE Foundation
