Child's-height tour featuring 400 works of art

The project

The Carnavalet Museum (a museum of the history of Paris housing more works than the Louvre) has long been engaged in an ambitious programme of cultural mediation: using museum artefacts to teach French, putting on special programmes for children, and so on. The museum is currently closed for three years (from 2016) for a major renovation, one of whose aims is to create a child's-height tour. This project, which is supported by the ENGIE Foundation, will make 400 works accessible to children in two main age groups: 3-7 and 7-13.

Role of the ENGIE Foundation

As a sponsor of the Carnavalet Museum, ENGIE is supporting the ongoing renovation. The Foundation is involved through its support for the child's-height tour project.
